PDF files provide many advantages in terms of compatibility and performance. The necessary application to open such files is free and it can be installed in less than a minute, so you can view a PDF document on any computer. Unfortunately, you can't edit PDF documents without an expensive program. This is where PDF Studio comes in. It costs less than other similar applications and its features will definitely satisfy your needs. You can use the software to add annotations and watermarks on your documents, edit text and much more.

PDF Studio is available in Standard and Pro versions, for Windows, Mac and Linux. Both versions can be evaluated free of charge, for a limited period of time. The trial versions are fully functional, so you can evaluate all their features, without any restrictions.

Once you load a PDF file, on the main user interface, you can start using a wide variety of tools, to add text and callouts, insert notes, links, stamps and much more. The document's pages are listed as thumbnails on a navigation pane, on the left side of the interface, so you can jump from one page to another instantly.

Basic functions, for zooming and panning or inserting various elements, are located on a toolbar. Additional options can be found in the top menus and you can use them to perform advanced operations. The software allows you to add and adjust text or image watermarks on your documents, perform OCR scans, extract pages or insert new ones, from other PDF files and more.

For extra security, you may configure various permissions for the loaded documents, on a tabbed properties window. Besides password protecting your document, you can disable certain features, like printing, extracting text and graphics, document changes and others. It is also possible to set up a default layout and magnification for your document, change font settings and edit the document's metadata on the same window, but on different tabs.

Pros

PDF Studio allows you to edit, annotate and protect your PDF documents. It comes with many useful features, which are very easy to understand. The software is cross-platform and it can be installed fast.

Cons

The user interface would be more comfortable if the options were presented on ribbon menus. PDF Studio gives you access to any tool you need to manipulate your PDF documents anyway you want.
